Northern Lights Festival Boreal
I had a great time in Sudbury last weekend at the Northern Lights festival Boreal. It was a unique opportunity to show off my skills as a kind of musical Swiss army knife: accompanying Brock Zeman on the main stage as his lead guitarist("The Eddie Van Halen of the acoustic guitar", Lloyd Spiegel dubbed me. 😄), performing a solo set of my own songs on the CBC Acoustic Stage, and helping to lead the Blues Beyond Borders workshop on the Canvas Cabaret Stage, along with Lloyd and his own fiery acoustic licks( and his incredible trombonist Lisa Baird), Angelique Francis and her family band( her two sisters on horns and her father on drums), and guitarist Paul Dunn. It truly was an epic jam!
Brock and I will be hitting the road again next week for a private party on July 21st and a Troubadours show at Skol House in Belwood, ON on Saturday, July 22nd at 6 PM. Tickets available at https://skol.house/
